EBAY fixed price for $.10 - NOV 8th ONLY

Would you be required to have the 10 feedback to use this like you would normally be required when using the buy-it-now feature?

I'd be happy if they had a deal where they'd charge a flat fee for putting an auction up, the way they used to up until a couple years back or so. It used to be $1.10/$1.13 or something, no final value fee crap.

Yes you would.
From the email I received:

"Feedback requirements apply to list in the Fixed Price Format."

Fixed Price Format

When you list an item with the Fixed Price format:
Buyers can purchase your item or items without waiting, at the price you set.
There is no bidding and no auction-style listing; you're just offering one or more items for sale at a Buy It Now price.
If you qualify, you can sell multiple identical items in one listing.
Buyers will find your listing in category browse pages and search results, highlighted with the Buy It Now icon.
Insertion and Final Value fees apply.

Limitations:

To create a Fixed Price listing with a quantity of one, you must have a feedback rating of 10 or more (or be ID Verified ). If you have a PayPal account and accept PayPal as a payment method on the listing, your feedback rating only needs to be 5 or more.
To create a Fixed Price listing with a quantity of two or more, you must have a feedback rating of 30 or more and be a registered user for at least 14 days (or be ID Verified). If you have a PayPal account and accept PayPal as a payment method on the listing, your feedback rating only needs to be 15 or more.

Drat, maybe I should go ahead and be ID Verified for the 5 dollar fee...

Dude - he isn't posting something being sold on ebay. He is posting a HOT deal on ebay services. Which for sure falls (imho) into this catagory.

My question is if that $0.10 includes the FVF...

People just read the page.

"All other fees (Final Value Fees and all other optional listing upgrade fees*) will still be charged."

economics

save some money on fees by listing on that one day. then lose some money on the final price of your auction b/c the supply on ebay has increased.

From what I'm reading on the Ebay page, they're saying that the insertion fee is $0.10 no matter what you set as your initial price. All the other fees are still there.

I usually start my auctions at $9 and let people drive the price to the typical sell-point. This deal would save me $0.15 (insertion fee is usually $0.25 for initial prices between $0.01 and $9.99).

It's a great deal if you sell a lot of stuff or maybe like to set a high starting bid. The deal might attract a lot more sellers, though, so the competition for bidders goes up and maybe your final sale price goes down??

Problem is that is for fixed price auctions, stuff can't be bid up.
