eBay feedback, serious or funny?

Whenever I leave a feedback for anyone, regardless of whether it is positive or negative, I try to write it as serious and descriptive (within the 80word limit which can be hard) as possible. I do this because for some people eBay represents their living or a significant source of income and since feedback can have a large effect on the bidding I don't think it is something that should be taken lightly.

Your thoughts?

Examples of funny:
Positive: Turn onto LaFayett St. and park. Get out. Run as fast as you can. Then hide.
Negative: Jesus has reserved a place in hell for this seller

Examples of serious:
Positive: Prompt and professional communication, excellent packaging and fast shipping
Negative: Item not as described and seller would not offer refund.

I dont pay attention to feedback. I dont care what people write about me and I dont write anything about anyone else.
It's a credit card in the making.

who really gives a crap as long as you bring up any problems that may have occurred for the next potential buyer/seller?

seeing A++++++++++++++++++++++ gets a little old.

That's exactly what I'm saying, for a negative would you write:

HE'S A NO GOOD LYING CROOK

or

Item was not as described, seller refused to offer refund

?

Yes, because the first is not a bit helpful to a potential buyer and makes the person who left it look like an totally incompitent idiot to THEIR potential buyers.

Negative: Jesus has reserved a place in hell for this seller

I actually know someone that has left feedback exactly like that.

I know someone else that leaves 'funny' feedback and he ocassionally receives neutral feedbacks in return for it!

What you write for a negative is far more important than what you write for a positive. No one reads positives.

I usually just write the same thing over and over: Fast shipping, would buy from again.
The only time I have ever gotten descriptive was when I wrote a negative feedback for getting the wrong item.
