Got an email from ebay saying that everything is free shipping but when I look at the item I am interested it has a shipping charge. how does the free shipping work then?

I guess so, but Ebay is not a company that would offer free shipping on everything. They send out tons of spam mail, there's never anything good. I've learned to ignore most of them.
