ebay, craigslist or gamestop

I've decided that I will be getting rid of my 20gb xbox 360 w/o hdmi and picking up an arcade and 120gb drive for the fall dashboard.

But I dunno what's the best place to dump it and get the most out of it.

Maybe ATCG people can give me some ideas.

ebay: I have to deal with fees and having to ship it out.

craiglist :not that hard but I'm not too high on meeting people. I fear getting robbed. Yeah i know I can do in a public place. but still.

ebay/craigslist I might be able to net a bit more.(I only hope to get 200 to 225) Maybe note that my drive is flashable. while the newer benq and liteon ones are not. might be a selling point. I dunno. I might have to deal with people bitching about RROD in the days/weeks/months afterwards

Or there's gamestop. Its supereasy. walk in and walk out. I only get $100 bucks + I have extra $30 coupon to trade in a system. RROD comes up in future its there problem. they won't bother me. Only bad part is I dunno if its store credit or I can get cash. I've never in my life bought a console system at gamestop/ebgames before. I'm sure they are fine.

Or secret option #4. Just buy the bigger hard drive. I only hope to gain hdmi output(I have enough cables in the back), and quieter drive(the install option though will solve this) and reduced power usage. Gotta be green you know, that's what Al Gore wants me to do. I guess I can reduce power usage in other areas.

I'd personally go with Craigslist. I sold an old receiver just last weekend that way. No hassles with shipping and the whole thing went smoothly. It's just so much easier to be able to sell something off locally.

I'd also go through Craigslist. If you sell through Gamestop, the price they quote you is for in-store credit. If you want cash, it's typically 80% of that quote.

I would also say Craigslist, but really, I don't see why you would bother. Unless your display does a much better job with HDMI than component, there's no real motivating factor that I can see. I don't expect them to go with less noisy DVD drives in the future (is any DVD drive spinning at 16X really what you could call quiet anyways?), and the HDD rip is their fix for that issue. Power consumption probably isn't going to change all that much, likely not enough to warrant you upgrading. I would just keep the one you have now and "upgrade" later.

I don't think you can add a hard drive to the arcade.

Yes you can. Microsoft does their whole giving people a choice angle with the 360. There way to make money off accessories.

I'd just buy the drive for my existing xbox if I were you. I don't think MS has changed the licensing scheme for downloadable content/games yet to allow them to be "reauthorized" for offline profiles on a different xbox than the one they were purchased on.

Of course, all that means nothing if you don't use an offline profile, or you didn't purchase any content or games.
