Robert, I have adjusted your account to only charge $4.90 (not $8.97).
"
For future:

As per new policy, each first 5 items listed by every seller (on a
monthly basis) falls under the following policy.

--- No Insertion fees (regardless of the item bid price you keep)
--- FVF (8.75% of selling price OR $20 whichever is lower). This fees is
only applicable if the item sells successfully.

So, 8.75% comes of $102.5 comes to $8.97 (which you have been charged).
Your item 110406851964 was *not* charged any insertion fees though.

Your Loss or Benefit:

We completely understand that for sellers who already keep a low
starting price (and the item isn't very expensive, this new policy is
unlikely to benefit them). Thus, we give sellers the option to list item
through "Turbo Lister" or any other listing tool (their item will *not*
be a subject to this new policy).

Turbo Lister is a tool provided by eBay that sellers can use to list
their items directly from their computer. It provides sellers with the
same listing options they would see on the eBay site, as well as some
additional features specific to Turbo Lister.

One of the major "selling" points of Turbo Lister is its bulk options.
For sellers listings many items, using Turbo Lister can help save time
and the frustration of having to individually create, upload, and revise
items.

Turbo Lister is available for download from the eBay website. You may
download the program from the following page:
http://pages.ebay.com/turbo_lister/

Well this is bullshit. Its only 0.10 to post something at 0.99, so they dont charge the fucking 10cents big deal. But double the ending fee.

I guess using the turbo lister you get to use the old policy of $25.01 - $1,000.00 5.25% of the initial $25.00, plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000.00)?

Im pissed whats a good alternative to ebay?

Yes, their new policy is highway robbery. Add this to the ridiculous Paypal fees and the fact that you can't transact a purchase in a personal account without incurring regular fees now; you get a lot of POed people.

CL + cash at the 7 Eleven parking lot. And make sure you check the goods before you hand over the cash. I closed my ebay account 'cause I don't use it anymore and I don't want somebody to hack it and use it for fraudulent activities.

Amazon takes a pretty big cut as well.

If you live in or around a larger city OP, Craigslist is probably your best option.

eBay only has a partial stake in Craigslist BTW.

Except now the listing fee is lower as well...+ no fee on gallery

Basically, eBay made it MUCH less expensive to constantly relist items that don't sell.

How interested would you guys be in a website that's similar look and feel to Ebay but works just like Craigslist (free listing, set price not auction, can trade locally or online, any payment methods), with Heatware feedback integrated?

I think Amazon gets lots of eyeballs and been surprised at how quickly some items I've listed have sold. That being said, I think their cut has been typically 15 - 20%.

I think eBay is still cheaper, but I do think Amazon product listings can at least gets lots of looks.

Dude listing fee used to be like what 25 cents? Whatever All I know is I paid $0.55 for each new item i posted. Yeah I started under $10 and I posted a gallery pic. That's it. $0.55.

What was the final item value before I remember it being like 3% on my ~$100 items. I haven't done major ebay selling in like 4 years so it's hard to remember.

55 cents EACH TIME YOU LIST + FVF

15% on a 10 dollar item = 1.50 no listing fee

I don't deal with 99 cent listings though (would never list something at .99 and hope it goes up to 100+) and I realize their fee structure screws some more than others.

Anyway, I don't feel like discussing this too much further, but I've tried ALL the alternatives and the only ones I like to use are eBay + CL with Amazon being pretty good if you're in the right market

<sarcasm>Yes, because in FS/FT you have an awesome search, can sort and filter items by price/location/category/unsold only, can see the sellers feedback as part of the listing, upload an image gallery, can see listing from people in other forums, etc.</sarcasm>

I used to sell in FS/FT section 10 years ago (with a different username), I wouldn't say it's the best place to buy or sell something.

not to mention it's not even a drop in the bucket traffic wise vs ebay

any "alternative" will fail because of this
