auction, stated confirmed address and media post (up to 9 business days)...

your address is unconfirmed, can you send payment from a confirmed address (generally meaning home address) so that we may both be covered by paypal insurance?

thanks so much,
Dan.

HER: I do not want it shipped to my home address. I have always used my work address. If it is problem, just refund my money.

HER: Could you give me the status of my purchase?
_____________________________________

Hello Pam. I have no problem shipping it to your work address if you require it. I just needed to touch base with you on this issue since the address wasn't confirmed and I wanted to make sure everything is in order with the shipping address. I will need to purchase 3rd party insurance since paypal will not cover any purchases on our behalf because they only cover confirmed addresses.

the ***** will ship tomorrow with ID and Signature confirmation and I will update the tracking information tomorrow evening.

I will be sending it here, please correct me if it is incorrect.

HER 4 days later: I have not received my package. You said that you would ship it on the 5th, usps.com says you did not ship it until 6/6. Please tell me when I will receive my package? And how did you ship it? Express or Priority??

__________________________________________

I shipped parcel media. The standard shipping method for free as stated in the auction... I dropped it on the 5th but it takes time to process..

It's probably close to the destination but USPS doesn't always scan the confirmation in between transit but rather at acceptance and arrival only.

Please be patient and your package will arrive soon.

Thanks!
Dan.

ME AGAIN: Hello Mrs. B****, I spoke to a CSM on USPS about your package (and others) and quite simply there is a huge influx of packages for Father's Day which have caused delay all week long and the PO is doing their best to keep up. I imagine it will be there before the end of the week.

Hope this helps,
Dan.

HER:I will let you know if it ever arrives.

her feedback is set to private and with the new feedback changes, I don't even know her true feedback score. I found her home address on the whitepages and she's 53. You believe that? No class.

6/17 update, paypal dispute:

ME: I have been tracking the package and calling USPS daily to find out more about where it is. The package has Signature confirmation and is insured but I can't file a claim until the 22nd for lost package.

Please wait until the tracking information updates with either delivered or undeliverable before making any judgment. I have done my part in shipping the package and can't apologize enough for the potential incompetence of US postal employees.

If you see my feedback and other tracking info for the 30 other ******'s shipped this month, I have 100% feedback and everyone is happy. I am not trying to scam anyone for a measly $160. If this package is lost I will personally issue a refund and file with USPS for insurance but until I have more information myself, I can't issue a refund and then have the package arrive to you whenever it will arrive.

I myself feel stuck between a rock and a hard place putting my reputation on the line for USPS. Something which I shouldn't have to do and is out of my hands.

Again, I encourage you to look at my feedback and even contact some of the buyers and ask what kind of experience they had with me. Some people even won it for far less than you paid and I still shipped it with the same care. In fact, any package over $150 received more priority from me but with USPS at fault, I can't figure out where the package is at this time and neither can they...

If I were Superman, I would personally fly the package over there but alas, I am not faster than a speeding bullet.

Thanks for being so patient,
Dan.

Sir,
My brother is a third generation postal employee so I know all too well about the post office. My problem is that I am out 160.00. I paid you immediately because that is how I do business, plus I needed this for Father's day. I ordered it on the 4th, you said you would ship it on the 5th (which you didn't) and now 13 days later..........you have my 160.00 and I have nothing.

The ONLY reason I picked you was because of your feedback.........All I want is my money back...........my daughter was heart broken because she did not get to give her daddy the present she wanted. How do you fix that?

Do you see why I have a problem trusting you?

___________________________________________________
ME: By ebay rules, I have 7 days to ship, I shipped it on the 6th within 2 days. You paid on the 4th with an Unconfirmed address (if you seen my ad it said CONFIRMED adderss ONLY in huge red text) yet I still went ahead and took all the precautions to ship it to you with an unconfirmed address.

Then it stated Parcel post 2-9 business days with this as the ebay caption.
*Sellers are not responsible for service transit time. This information is provided by the carrier and excludes weekends and holidays. Note that transit times may vary, particularly during peak periods.
And you had asked me why I hadn't shipped Express. Because Express shipping is $58.

As for Father's day gift aspect, it is not my fault because USPS misplaced/lost/rerouted the package. But you are making me out to be the villain who ruined Father's day.

As for your money you will receive it if the package is lost or returned to me, gladly. But I can't issue a refund knowing you will very well get the package. It's also not fair to say that you don't want the package if it didn't arrive by Father's Day because I didn't state any guarantees.

I don't see why you have a problem with me seeing as I provided tracking and my feedback is impeccable. I will keep looking out for your order and hope to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Thanks again,
Dan.

That didnt seem that bad.

I do know how some people can get though.. I remember a loong time ago, I sold a gaming console ( cant even remember which one ) to a lady.. The auction ended at like 2pm during the week ( I was at work).. When I finally got back to my email around 4, I had a chain of 10-11 emails starting at like 30min after the auction ended asking for tracking numbers..

By the 4th or 5th email, she was fully on the chip because I hadnt replied back, and she was afraid she was going to get ripped of..

By 8-9th, the threats of the FBI, CIA, UN intervention etc started getting thrown at me.

I had to send her an email back explaining how ebay worked, and reassure her she would get her item.. I remember getting a good laugh out of the deal, I just pictured a non-technical old lady whipping herself into a froth + screaming at the inanimate computer screen.

Uhh.. I really hope there's a part of this story that's missing somewhere, because I don't see anything she did there that was so horrible other than asking where her stuff was.

FOR ONE, my auction stated CONFIRMED ADDRESSES ONLY
TWO, it clearly states MEDIA MAIL 9 business day. Where does she get off asking if I shipped EXPRESS which would cost me $70 for a 10lb package?!

It's been 6 days (4 business days) since she paid, wtf?

so the package STILL hasn't arrived. Is that shitty karma or what?! She opened a dispute and this is what I wrote to her. This is bs.

Come on now thats stretching it a bit dont you think, $70 for 10lb package. Thats why I hate buying anything off of GayBay, everyone overcharges for shipping. I always scan the receipt, deliver conformation document and tracking number then send everything via email and keep a copy until delivery and exchange in heatware is complete.
