Big risk of getting garbage, especially with used parts. You don't seem to be saving that much either. Newwegg prices are about the same. If you pick up the occasional boxed retail part on ebay, that's ok. They seem to have good prices on things like boxed vid cards and such.

A 9800 pro is really all the video card you need for quite some time.

He said it right. AMD = more bang for your dollar.

Buy from reputable member on the forum or better yet a place like newegg.com

I would not say there is anything wrong with going intel. They have great performance, simple setup, and a clear long-term upgrade path. AMD on the other hand, who knows about socket 764.

You could do that, but newegg had the case for the same price new. I think it came with a power supply also.

Remember that if you buy from Newegg you can combine all your parts into a few shipments. On ebay you'll be paying a lot more for shipping overall if you are buying from many different people. Go newegg, and go AMD too. :)

Newegg doesn't combine shipping. Each item has it's own shipping cost. They say they give you a discount, but it is almost nothing.
