Ebay auction... Advice wanted

I am new to Ebay and have 10 positive and no negatives till now. Anyway, I put a new laptop for auction and the auction ended yesterday with successful bids. I specified in my auction that the highest bidder must contact me before sending me the payment.

I sent several emails to the highest bidder (I got his email address from ebay that is accessible to the seller only) and all my emails came back. It was a bad email address. Anyway, the bidder sends me the payment to my ebay email address and not paypal address. I refunded his payment and asked him to send me the payment to my paypal address.

Now, he sends me this email:

Since there seems to be a problem with every thing on this deal I do not
want to pay any other way than I have I also have two email accounts
xxxxxx@centurytel.net which is my work email and I have a home email
address xxxxx.xxxx@aol.com so I understand why you may have been having a
hard time reaching me. My old email address was xxxxx@aol.com but I
changed it for personal reasons. But lets just forget this deal you will
sell it just as soon as you put it back on ebay.I have also sent you a
message using my other e-mail address so do not be confused it is the same
person.


I sent him an email saying that Ebay has already charged me the fee and I was trying to contact him on hisold email address ebay gave me. I do not want to leave him a negative rating because if I do, he might give me a retaliatory negative rating. What do i do now?

yes thats what happens if you refund the payment. stupid me, i should have opened a new account with the other email address. But i thought that it would take few days to get everything set alright since it is a new accoount and I was scared that the buyer might do a reverse charge or something.

Do not accept payment from a non-verified address under any circumstances.
