I bid on a SUV (a cheap one) and now my wife says she wants a van. I didn't tell her I bid. I tried to retract my bid but there was less than 12 hours left so it wouldn't retract (They keep changing the rules!) I contacted the seller to remove my bid but being Sunday I doubt he will respond. He is a Big seller on ebay and he has quite a few negatives and I have none and don't want to start now since I have over 100 positives since 1999. I cannot believe they changed the rules like that. :disgust: I'm stuck ack there is no way I can buy it now. I knew I should have gotten a dummy account but since I am a straight as an arrow trader i never did.

Ack eB*y you kill me with rule changes!

no it used to be just any active auction you could retract people used to bid high retract and win with the lower second place bid it is called bid shielding and that I guess is why they changed the rules.

The guy did contact me but didn't really say what he was going to do. I was honest with him so hopefully he takes that into account. Never been a deadbeat bidder I feel like a turd.
