EAX Not Working in Games

I'm using an Audigy 2 Value sound card. When I load games such as Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, or WoW, I'll only get some sounds. For instance, I'll hear my guy walking around, or grabbing someone, but I won't get any dialogue when he interrogates him. In WoW, same type of problem. Sometimes when I turn off EAX, the problem goes away, but there are also times when it still won't work, even with EAX off.


Any ideas on how to fix this?
