I got the Doom 3 1.3 patch to use EAX HD 4.0 on my Audigy 2 Value and for some reason sometimes the game freezes with strange buzzing noises and I have to do a hard reset.
When I disable EAX it nevers freezes. When I Play other EAX HD 4.0 games like San Andreas they never freeze up or crash.
I made sure I had the right drivers, my understanding was that Audigy 2 ZS users needed driver updates to use EAX 4.0, but Value cards had EAX 4.0 support without driver updates.
So I dont think its a driver problem, any one else getting this crap from Doom 3?
