Eating my words: Freelancer! An awesome Microsoft Game!

Starlancer is only $2 at Electronic Boutiques for anyone that wants to try it. System reqs. are not steep at all. 🙂

Speaking of system requirements, what are they for Freelancer and what is the "Recommended" system for it to play smoothly? Considering the game has been in development for a couple years, the engine is definitely old. It should run well on my XP1500+ 512mb DDR GeForce3 Ti200 but I'm not too sure. 😕

starlancer was the best space flight sim that I have ever tried 😀

Damn straight! 🙂 I couldn't finish the last level though, so I gave up eventually. 🙂

oooh finaly a good reason to dust off my joystick..... 🙂

well you can probably scratch that idea i dont think it even supports joystick because of the system it uses

it doesnt even support inverted mouse because of this

What?? Why is that? With out a joystick, flight sims sucks.

Something like that. All I remember is that if you got close to it for a little while, it shoots this electric shot at you and I kept getting killed by it. I was so close though. 🙁

You obviously haven't played Freespace 2.

Best EVAR. No competition. I would still play it if I still had it.

Oops... mean Freespace 2 😱

I was really disappointed in Privateer 2 so I'm definitely looking forward to any game that can be a spiritual sequel to Privateer. 🙂

BTW, Microsoft has published some good games in the past...the Age of Empires series comes to mind.

Excellent. I've been playing it for a few days now and it's really cool. I can see some real potential for multiplayer (I've only played single player so far). So far, all I've done is build up a good shooter ship but I'd like to do some commerce and see what that is like. I wish they would let you buy multiple ships so you could build up a couple different types, but then where would you store these other ships? I guess I'm just wishing. Great game though.
