When I put in over an 8 hour day I usually order to "treat" myself. Spending about $6 at the local chinese restaurant. When working 8 hours or less I try to bring something. Usually it's a stoffers or a hungry man or something. Thing is, I want to eat a bit healthier. The chinese I eat is usually good stuff (Chicken and Green Beans w/ rice or similar). But how do you guys eat healthy for less?

Yeah that's pretty healthy. But a tuna sandwhich is cheaper and better for you. ;)

I had two tuna sandwiches every day for lunch all summer. I haven't had a piece of tuna since I've been back to school.

can't you just pack a turkey sandwich, light on the mayo go miracle whip, low fat swiss and load it up with some tomatoes and lettuce? add an apple and you can't go wrong.

make sure u dont get any extra mayonaise with ur tuna. otherwise, it wont be healthy at all.

also, some people think eating greens with a meal just makes the meal healthy. not true at all. so what if greens give you some minerals and vitamins? eating a celery with a whopper meal is a heart attack plus better eyesight or something. i 0n0. just my 2 cents.

Yup, or Cook. You'd be shocked how "cheap" food is when you Cook it yourself. You also have total Quality control.

Tuna, protein shakes, frozen chicken breasts (cooked at home), fresh fruit, homemade protein bars (my favorite).

That Chinese usually isn't "good stuff" compared to what you could make at home, either.

My day consists of:

Egg whites and toast in the morning with milk
Some kind of fruit for a snack (I prefer Musselman's lite Apple Sauce)
Leftovers for lunch (usually chicken breasts with a vegetable, or stuffing, or rice, but sometimes I'll make beef or fish)
Granola bar for a snack
Light dinner (same stuff I have for lunch)

It's quite cheap, and healthy. My cholesterol and fat intake for the day is very low, but I get plenty of fiber and protein.

I was going to mention those, but I didn't think anyone has tried them. I eat a ton of them :)

Here's my recipe for "bowl served" protein bars. (they are sticky and gooey, so you pretty much have to eat it out of a tupperware bowl)

9 scoops of Whey Protein powder (chocolate, I use Optimum Nutrition)
1 small box of Chocolate Fat Free, Sugar Free Jello Pudding mix
1¼ cup Skim Milk
1-3 Tablespoons of Honey (depending on your goals and taste factors)
1-5 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter (depending on your goals and taste factors)
Mix into a batter.
Mix in 3 cups of Quaker Whole Oats (not instant oatmeal).

Divide into 3-4 servings. (3 for me)

You can perfect the consistancy by adding or removing milk (1Cup-1 1/3 cup).

I like mine with 1¼ cup.

You suck at giving directions. "One to Five?" Just give what you normally use and note that they can adjust it if they want to.
