EasyTune3...

Ok, I got a 1.4 ghz athlon(266fsb), PC 2100 ram and it came with software called EasyTune3, which in effect can auto-optimize your system to run incredibly fast. I had it auto-optimize my processor to like 1560 mhz. I was curious, do you think it is safe to keep it at 1560mhz? Everything seems to be colling ok, just dont know if this shortens the life of the cpu.

Run it the fastest you can as long as your heat isnt above a safe level and it is running stable, yes it shortens the life of your cpu, but I doubt you really care if it dies in 10 years rather than 15. Those arent exactly correct expected lifetimes for cpus, but it something like that, it will not die before your done with it even if you do keep your PCs for a while.
