While authorities have provided few details of what happened inside Building 197, witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be a determined gunman taking aim at seemingly random victims. Twelve people died and eight were wounded. The rampage ended when Alexis was shot to death.
It seems like shooting back at the mass shooters works! Pretty hard to kill a lot of people that are also carrying their own guns.

I'm sure that's exactly what Jesus would have said.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9

I'd favor all high school students being required to take gun safety and education classes.

yes, shooting shooters is a good way to stop them. Other possible method could be to take their guns away before they have the opportunity to shoot anybody, though I think it depends on many conditions for that to be a legal option.

Thread title says "easy way." Precognition is only easy in fiction.

Why not pass a law that makes it illegal to murder someone. That'll stop 'em!

One flaw in your theory... gun free zones. Especially military bases thanks to Bill Clinton. Maj. hasan would be hanging with his 72 virgins now if the soldiers who where going off to the middle east to carry weapons were allowed to carry them on U.S. soil.

Seriously, how insane is it that ANY military facility of any kind is a 'gun free zone'. That's just asinine. Of course, 'gun free zones' are asinine anywhere- to a killer that reads as "increase your death toll zone", but a military facility is craziest of all.

You are just like the liberal retards, to the bone ignorant and a wee bit just plain stupid, you believe in fairy tales. Jesus is a fictional character of ancient folk lore.

It's also pretty hard to get people who don't want to carry a gun to carry one.
Not a problem, they can dive under tables like the sheep they are and hope that people with guns will assume the responsibility of defending themselves and eliminate the threat.

Oh, wait, they want to ban good people with guns, so they need to stand up and take a couple of gun shots to prove their conviction that gun free zones are safe.

Well that is the current way it is done in Chicago. So how is that working out for the hostages that live in Chicago.

Anyone that thinks that would work is an total idiot.

Even easier, put up some "No Guns" signs, 100% effective*

*100% effective in ensuring that the shooter will be unopposed for many minutes before cops can arrive.

I did not say "make a law that says no guns", then only criminals or police will have guns, it will be a nightmare. I simply am saying to take guns away from crazy people and criminals so that maybe we won't have to shoot them.

The laws are on the books, everyone is afraid to report them. This guy had a security clearance, goes to the VA to say he is hearing voices and demonstrates serious paranoia, and no one at the VA seems to give a damn.

The failure is not in the lack of laws, but people too lazy or incompetent to make it work. But yes, he went to the VA, the home of lazy and incompetency.
