I just copied a folder from my laptop to my mac's desktop that is 70 gigs of pics/movies and music. I have iphoto 11, apeture 3 and lightroom. What is the easiest way to do this?

Put the photos into iPhoto and Aperture will see them as well. Lightroom you may need to point it to the iPhoto Library file.

Movies, I would just drop them into the Movies folder, unless they are iTunes compatible, there is little point putting them into it.

Music, iTunes obviously.

I meant is there a program that will scan this folder and just put everything where it should go?

iPhoto and iTunes will, if you drag the folder to either one, they will grab the files that they can use and then move them to the Music or Pictures folder (iTunes will need to have 'keep my library organized' and the default locations checked in the Preferences). There is nothing quite like either that I am aware of for movies. But I treat and experience my movies differently from my pictures and music. Both of those are to be taken in quickly, songs are only a few minutes long and you just slideshow through photos. Movies take hours to watch, so all you need is just a decent naming and organization method.
