I have used the search function and came up with nada.

I have been looking to copy the my administrator account settings to a limited user account as a way to improve security. However, I have spent a long time configuring everything. Is there an easy way to copy everything - windows settings and even programs settings?

I have looked on the MS site here for advice but that process doesn't allow me to copy my administrator account and only non-admin accounts.

Is there another easy(ish) way?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there some reason you can't just create a new administer account and change the current account to a limited account?

This should work, but you need to create a third account that is an admin. So you'll have your current admin account with all the settings, the non-admin account and a second admin account. Log on as the second admin and you should be able to copy the first admin profile to the non-admin.

After you're done, you can delete the second admin account.

Why not rename your admin a/c. Create admin a/c with limited power. When you need to manage your computer, use Run As.
