Easy video capture/ATI AIW questions

I want to get a card solely capable of capturing video from old VHS tapes. Is there any difference in the capturing ability/quality between the various ATI All in Wonder cards? A gent in FS/FT has these:

ATI AIW 128Pro 16meg card (AGP) $35
ATI AIW Radeon 7500 64MG (AGP) $70

Any reason not to get the cheaper one? My system runs an Athlon 1800, GeForce 4 4200 if that matters at all.

What software will I need to transfer video to CD or DVD? Helpful links appreciated.

Since both cards will replace your present ti4200, you may want a seperate PCI tuner if you want to keep your gaming performance. Otherwise IIRC, both AIW cards you list use the same Rage Theater Chip, but the AIW 7500 supports the latest MMC 8.8, while the AIW Rage 128 pro supports only up to MMC 7.2. I prefer the latest MMC 8.8, it works great with my AIW 7500, so that would be my pick (especially if it comes with the remote)

thanks for your reply. this card will be used probably for a weekend then sold again, so I'm not worried about gaming performance. MMC is the media center software right? any idea what the differences are between the different versions?
