Easy to use * free* technical drawing software

This may be a long shot, does anyone know of a freeware program that would aid me with making some technical drawings. I plan to make my own computer desk. I've looked all over the net for some free building plan's and haven't found anything I want. So, I decided to try and do it from scratch. The more user friendly the better.
