Easy to use DVD burning program?

Hello all
I have a variety of downloaded kids videos in various video formats. I'd like to be able to burn each of them to seperate DVDs that can be played in our vans old DVD player. Simple is better. Any suggestions?
I've tried a few programs, and it's hit and miss. A couple worked, but most end up with a read error in the DVD player. Either I've got the wrong settings, or the wrong program.
Any idea what's going on?

One of the best conversion programs for making DVD-video is AVStoDVD. https://sites.google.com/site/avstodvdmain/

The normal output is DVD-video, which will be a Video_TS folder and Audio_TS folder on your hard drive. Do the actual burn to the disc with ImgBurn.

AVStoDVD can be set up to burn to a disc automatically using ImgBurn, but you need to change one setting. Options-->Output Setup-->Burn DVD. You'll need to install ImgBurn separately, as it does not come with AVStoDVD anymore.

You're in Japan? I believe Japan uses a variation of NTSC format for DVD's. The US also uses NTSC. You'll be able to setup AVStoDVD to make NTSC or PAL as your normal format when you install it.

What type of blank DVD are you using? I would recommend Verbatim brand with AZO on the label. Or Taiyo Yuden. An older player might work better with -R discs rather than +R.

As far as simple goes, imgburn does what your asking for and is lightweight and easy to use. No fancy features, but doesn't sound like you need them.

All you need is DVD authoring software to convert the downloaded video to DVD. I suggest using WinX DVD Author (freeware), an ideal one for you. It helps convert and burn AVI, WMV, DivX, MPEG, XviD, RMVB, MP4 etc. files to DVD with ease.

Simply the best. You can even download additional templates from the main website 🙂
edit: You can use it with HCEnc for quality of ffmppeg for speed...
