Easy to replace window pane?

So I was up last night on the forums at around 2:30am and I hear this loud boom noise on my window. Then it suddenly shattered and glass shards flew eveywhere. I'm glad I wasn't sleeping because the big 3 inch rock and most of the shards went on the bed.

Called the cops immediately, they took a look and just said there are idiots out there and filed a report. I live in a good neighborhood too 🙁

I called my insurance company this morning and the deductible was $2000, so I might as well replace it myself (i'm quite the handy person 🙂).

I have those newer windows with plastic trim around them. It's also dual paned so that could be another problem.

So I was thinking just going to home depot, getting a window pane and just installing it, sounds easier than done I bet!

Thoughts?
