Ok, my friend got a new mobo/proc/ram (ECS sis735, tbird 1.4, 512 PC2100) and after a couple hours of long troubleshooting, we figured out the mobo was DOA. No post at all, just power up. I tested everything else with my system and it works fine. So what is best for getting an RMA fast and easy, any advice or suggestions on what to say on the phone? I've never called for one before and he's clueless, I could use whatever help I could get.

He wants it as fast as possible

Just tell them what you just posted here. They'll want to verifty that it has been correctly diagnosed, which you have done.

Since Russ is from Kent, of course he's right. The only trouble is some vendors will fight you tooth and nail while others are great (I had good luck with buy.com and NewEgg.com). If the vendor won't accept it, you can also try the manufacturer.
