Easy question

I'm going to build a brand new PC for a relative and decided to go with Intel PIII 1Ghz for CPU. The question is, what board/chipset do you recommend? I need something that is cheap but also stable. Built in sound/nic is a plus.
Thanks for your help 🙂

I'm sorry I can't help you, but I do wonder if your choice of the CPU is a good one? 😉 Wouldn't you be better off with a highly overclockable 1.6A Ghz for $160, or maybe a 1.x Ghz Celery? What kind of a relative wants a 1 Ghz P3?! 🙂

Well, at least a Bump for you.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking yesterday. 😉 I decided to follow the value SOHO guide here on Anandtech, since $500 is the price range my relative is looking for.

Thanks Anandtech 🙂
