The kind of anti-aliasing implemented on nVidia cards is done in a different way to what you might define '4x4'. It scales the resolution of the image to whatever setting you put it on and then downsamples the image to your selected resolution. the end result? a much smoother image - sometimes. Depending on what resolution you're using, anti-alising on nVidia cards will have a limited effect, if any at all. For example, running at 1600x1280 (or whatever it is, i only hava a 15"

anti-aliasing won't work at all in any situation. Try to drop down the level of antialiasing you're using if you're running at higher resolutions within the game, or drop the resolution down a notch...
