I am building my first rig, in between is an MSI GTX980, I've been watching a ton of youtubes, but they tend to slip the cableage.
This graphic card has a two-eight pin connexion, but the "no so good" manual it is a picture with a six-pin connector or a eight-pin connector, and shows to connect one or the other, not both (or so I understood)
The cable from the PSU (PCIe) has a double ending eight-pin connector, should connect just one or both
Quess many of you will laugh about that 🙂

Thanks for your time

You connect both connections. Some PSUs have a 6pin cable with an extra 2 pins you can use to attach to an 8 pin connector on the card. I think that's what they are showing.

"Scotty, we need warp speed in 3 mins or we're all dead" hahaha

If the card has 2 power connectors, that means it needs 2 power cables connected to it from the psu....

I doubt the card would even start up with only one power cable connected, and even if it did, you would seriously damage it & possibly your entire system by trying that 🙁
