Lol, ok this is simple, you know the little red switch in the back of the PSU? what does that thing do when you switch it from 115 to 230? :) thx!

best way to find out is to try it ;)



i think you adjust that according to the voltage of the AC source. north america uses 110V, so 115 is fine. some other places (hong kong is the only place i know) use 220V, and you switch it to 230 in that case.

If you change it you will blow your PSU literally! Wait for new years eve instead! :p

lol, in my last year at my current school we told some kids that flipping that switch would make their computers go faster. Needless to say about half of our computer lab was full of blank screens.

Well, i guess that and we tried shorting out the computers that ran really really slow.

its because different countries use different voltages. if you have it on the wrong setting, it just wont turn on.

All the Europe (except England for which I am not sure) uses 220V on home power sockets
