Easy question, newbie networking RE Linksys AP Router

I bought a Linksys Wireless Access Point+ DSL/CABLE Router. Does that mean I must purchase a AP Nic? I bought a USB Wireless Nic, is that sufficient?
 
If the nic is a linksys nic that goes with the wireless router and you have only one computer, I think you're good to go. I don't know what an AP nic is.

That means a combo of Router and Access Point.

Wireless USB NIC will be fine for the client computer.
