ok just a quick question i know i should know....just making sure though.

If i have a harddrive with a previous windows install on it and i want to recover files from it....do i just connect it as a secondary drive on a working windows PC?? is this going to caus any problems during boot up? i assume it should boot off primary first and never get to the second to caus a discrepency right? and then copy stuff with explorer?

Hi, Just jumper and connect it correctly. Master and Slave for standard cable. CS for both driver if a Cable Select cable. CS cable has color coded connectors. Position on the cable determines C: or D: for CS. Luck, Jim

right. as long as the drive is connected as slave and not as master, and everything is good on the master, it shouldn't cause any problem.
