I like being inspired by creative cooks and in the kitchen I like to keep it simple.
I remembered seeing, on a cooking show, a sorbet being made by freezing a flavored liquid, and then dragging a fork through the ice to create the sorbet.
Then I remembered that Trader Joe's has sparkling fruit juices with no added sugar.
So I combine the clementine juice with the juice of a grapefruit, freeze it in a baking dish, break it into chunks, and use a rotary hand parmesean cheese grater and out comes this refreshing, light snow that is perfect for summer (esp. during global warming! ).
Blueberries are good with the blueberry juice, when frozen they shred easily. Cranberry is good by itself.
Anyone else have any easy, yummy, hopefully a little healthy combos they enjoy? If so I'd like to try it.
