easy Excel Question!

so i have under column "A" the following values:

4
5
7
3
5
4
7

cell c1 is set to a percentage say 50%

i'd like to set b1 to a1*c1 and drag it down and have b as each number * c1...

when i do the drag down no matter what it gives me c1, c2, c3

even if i set B1 to A1*C1 and B2 to A2*C1 and select both and drag down it still makes B3 equal to A3*C3...

i hope this makes sense! and i hope someone can help!

try this as your formula for B1.

=A1*$C$1


Then drag it down.

It makes it an absolute reference, instead of the normal relative references excel uses.
