Which is better for burning, Nero 5.5 or Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum?

Please vote so I know which to get cuz I trust the Anandtech community for my Christmas choices!

good god both of those programs suck. cdrwin for full backups and discjuggler for custom jobs. easy cd creator is one of the worst programs ever made.

Wow, that is the first time I have heard anyone say that Nero sucks.
Heard it plenty about EzCD, but never Nero.
Anyway, Nero is must-have for me so it gets my vote.

Nero, though I do like the utility CD-Mate. It was the only thing I could find that was able to make a good copy of Homeworld: Cataclysm. (No, not illegal copies - ever since my Pioneer DVD drive blew up my Giants disc 1, I'm making copies of my originals to try to keep them out of the "danger area".)

Since switching to Nero over a year ago I cannot see myself ever going back to Easy CD Creator.

Well I downloaded the demo for Nero and make a CD at 16x with no hiccups! For some reason Easy CD only let me burn at 8x (note that it was patched with drive updates).

I just slipstreamed XP SP1 and verified the data real easy!

Definitely going with Nero.

I was a die hard Roxio until I needed to make SVCD's now Nero is all I use.

Is CDMate better that Clone? I haven't been having much luck with CloneCD lately.
