Easy CD Creator and incompatibility

does someone know how ot force my cd-r to be recognized by adaptec's cd creator platinum? it says that it is not supported on teh website but i'd like to use thier software, since i have a copy of it. I have forceaspi but it doesn't make it recognize it. Any help is appreciated.
 
Be patient Roxio will be issuing a patch for Windows XP. My understanding is that Direct CD will NOT work without the patch but other parts of the software might if you force compatibility mode.

ForceASPI does not force burning software to support hardware. You can either wait until Roxio adds support to ECDC for your drive or find out who the manufacturer is and any other companies that rebrand it as their own then see if any of the models are supported and if so, flash the drive with that branded BIOS. Perhaps you should check with other burning software such as Ahead's Nero Burning ROM.

thanks for the info guys, i'm using nero 5.5 but i like easy cd creator platinum 5 more. oh yeah, i'm running XP Pro and have been waiting for the patches since its release the other day...they say they're still coming. I"ll give it another shot
