I know easy cd 5 caused big problems in w2k. I'm running version 4.0something (whatever the latest patch is, 4.05?) on win2k. My computer has been crashing frequently, and it seems to be tied to this program. cd creator itself dies sometimes (just stops burning in the middle of the disc and won't exit) and often my computer just blue screens. The blue screens don't happen WHILE I'm making a cd, they're usually a while later. Cd creator though is the only thing that seems to be a common thread bewteen when it crashes and when it doesnt. Anyone know what may be going on? For now, I uninstalled cd creator and am trying nero. Hopefully that will stop the crashes...

I ditched the program when I started having those problems on Win2k. Been running Nero to compile cd's and CloneCD to copy. Now that I'm on WinXP, Nero isn't even needed. So all I use now is WinXP's integrated and CloneCD.

I use EasyCD 4 with Windows 2000 and don't experience any problems.

It does seem though like a lot of people do have problems with it though. Nero is supposed to be a better package anyway but I don't have the cash to change.
