Easy CD Creator 4.05 doesnt recognize my Lite on 12x burner!

I updated my Easy CD Creator on the roxio.com website from 4.02 to 4.05 yet it still does not recognize my Lite-On 12x burner. I updated it once before (prior to formatting my drive) and it worked fine, but this time it says I have no supported burners. Any thoughts? Also, under 'system' in control panel when I click on 'properties' for my burner it just says 'cd-rom' should it recognize it there as a cdrw? Thanks!

Are you running Win2k? I have a similar problem where I upgraded from a Samsung 8x4x32 to an AOpen 12x10x32 and now only Nero will detect my drive. I've heard similar problems from other people running Win2k. I'd like to figure this out too. Any ideas anyone?

1) Play with the bios assignments for the drive.
2) Try different arrangements (primary vs secondary) and cabling.
3) Flash to a newer bios.
4) Check ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspichk.exe and then forceaspi if needed.
5) Update EZCD version.

Not necessarily in that order.
