Easy AMD Radeon video card question...

Hello all
I have the GPU in my sig. I recently bought BF4 which, while it plays well, it has a nag screen every time warning me to update my AMD driver.
In essence, it says:

"Detected AMD Radeon driver version 13.1. The recommended driver version is 13.9 or later."

How can I update without running into issues? It was mentioned to me to try a 3rd party driver uninstaller program, then install.
What's the simplest way to do this that won't screw anything up?

Thanks!

You aren't changing fron AMD to Nvidia or updating from really old drivers. I would just download the newest drivers and install them. The alternative would be to download driver sweeper, uninstall your current drivers, reboot, run driver sweeper, reboot, install new drivers.

Just uninstall the old driver and install the new one. You don't really need any kind of fancy uninstaller. 99 times out of 100 the issue is widely overblown.🙂

I think it would be perfectly safe to do a full uninstall of the old drivers, and reboot, and install the new drivers. The reason it seems so safe is you are just moving from 13.1 to 13.9, where it's in the same series, and it's the same AMD video card. You could probably even just skip the uninstalling of the old ones, and go directly to installing the new ones because it's the same 13.X driver series.

Thanks guys.
Not sure I did it correctly just now. I went to the AMD site and used the auto detect tool. Downloaded the driver and pressed install. Didn't do any uninstall that I know of. Seems to be working ok. Did I screw it up?
