Easter Island Statues are freaky

man that thing is so freaky

i just thought i'd share that

Some societies create great works of literature and philosophy, some socities make scientific breakthroughs, some build towers into the sky, some make big honking rock heads.

The thing I found odd is they don't face the ocean like I thought.

If I recall correctly (from a Travel Channel show no less) they have some bigass rocks on their heads too. I wonder how they were made (aliens?).
