East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
We're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
We're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
We're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on your trail.
He ain't gonna rest 'til you're in jail.
So you got to dodge 'im and you got to duck 'im,
You got to keep that diesel truckin'.
Just put that hammer down and give it hell.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
We're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run

I thought it was OK. IMO McBride is talented but no genius. I did laugh hard at a few scenes, so in aggregate would give it maybe 3 or 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

Not a fan, tried to watch it all the way through, still not a fan . . . but then, an arrogant beer-gutted redneck acting one-note stupid, loud and ignorant, sigh, the humor only goes so far.

Yeah, true. From what little I saw, though, I just don't see it getting much better. OF COURSE I could be wrong. <shrug>

No question about that. ITs odd but damned funny.

I thought some of the parts were alright, but it got a bit slow at times. Was a bit surprised to see Will Ferril show up out of the blue :p. But he's Kenny fucking Powers, so it's all good!

Its the 2nd episode with Farrell. The thing is with the show, its a comedy but you seriously don't know if you should be laughing or wincing, or feeling sorry or what. It's a horrible train wreck (like Kenny fucking Powers).

So is it safe to say you no longer love it?

Nope I absolutely love(d) it... I'm praying there is a season 2.

And PLEASE HBO, have Kenny Powers release actual self-help tapes. Those would sell like hot-cakes.

I loved this show as well. It was hilarious and I was sad that there were only 6 episodes.

Apparently, it scored in the low 60s out of 100 on metacritic (but what do critics know?). I'm hoping that it isn't something like Arrested Development that's awesome but gets canceled anyways because it doesn't have a large following.

Chud.Com's Devin Faraci caught up with co-creator and producer of the show, Jody Hill, about the possibility of a second season:

'We're thinking about it,' he(Hill) said. The plan was always to do Eastbound as a limited series, and the possibility exists for it to come back for a second, eight episode season. 'We're trying to sort out all the details right. We definitely don't want to go for syndication or anything like that, and we know the ending we want to go for. But it could end right here, so we're debating it. Do we keep it as one season that we're proud of or do we go for one more?'

But if it does come back for a second (and certainly final season), it'll be the same creative team. Says Jody,'You'll never see this as a regular American sitcom, a writer factory. We'll always have our hands in it. There won't be a reunion... or a Very Special Episode.'

wrong? Larry The Cable guy has taken the one-note stupid redneck thing to the top and is now one of the biggest money earners in Hollywood. With no end in sight on top of that. His act is the same jokes and him screaming "git r done!" he will be around a long time. If it works for what they do, shit that never changes can be HUGE. just look at Stephen Colbert, while not a redneck he's exactly the same every night, and always over the top.

This show is hilarious, I don't own a TV but have caught it a 4 times at a neighbors house. I honestly don't think I would ever get tired of his stupid redneck bit. Even If the show never got any better I'd still watch it till the end.

Kenny FUCKING Powers baby!
