[mod note: If this is in the wrong forum or inappropriate to post I appologize in advance]
I know there are some Easterners on these boards so I thought I'd post this up as an FYI
Lansomnia Canada is already the largest LAN party in Atlantic Canada and this year we've pretty much gone bigger on everything. Bigger room (8000sq/ft), More Gamers (300), More tournaments (12 PC and Xbox Combined) and more prizes!
We are a WCG preliminary qualifying event this year (WCG Website - win a WCG tournament and you get an invite to the nationals in Montreal). Note that you can still compete in WCG tournaments if you're not Canadian, just can't qualify for the nationals obviously if you win.
Lansomnia II will also be the first official MGA (Maritime Gaming Association) event. The MGA is a collaboration between all smaller LAN events in Atlantic Canada with a purpose of furthering the gaming scene in our region.
On top of that, we are also donating $5 from every event registration to the IWK children's hospital to help buy gaming consoles for sick kids to play during their stay at the regional hospital.
So if you're within driving distance you might want to check us out at www.lansomnia.ca. Even if you're not feel free to drop by the forums and say hello.
