easiest way to transfer money between two non-linked accounts?

my sister needs to borrow a bit of cash. was wondering what the quickest way to transfer the money between two accounts (in the same bank) would be?
its quite a chunk of change so im thinking id have to be around for the transfer to go smoothly.
 
Fastest? Cash. A check could have a hold put on it up to maybe a couple weeks by her bank. If it's a huge amount, a cashier's check maybe.
 
At my bank, I'm allowed to transfer money over the phone from my account into another account. I just need to have my social security number handy and know both account numbers. I usually just do this into my mom's account, and I think her name is still on mine and I don't know if that makes a difference, but since it's your sister, they'd probably be fine with you just transferring it directly from one account to another.

Depends on the bank. Mine allows funds to be transferred between accounts (including ones on different banks) from their website.
 
Me and my g/f transfer money all the time, but we both have bank of america, and all thats needed for them to transfer money between accounts is the account #s, and its instant. We find it very handy 🙂
 
i'm a regular at my bank. Just fill out a withdrawl and deposit slip for the same amounts. No cash will have to go in your hands. I'm sure they know how to do their job.

That would take a few days though if you were doing instant transfer...

Few days for money from your account to paypal, then a few days for money from her acount to her bank account

If it's the same bank, they might be able to do it electronically. If it's a different bank, whatever you feel comfortable (safe) carrying.

Edit: didn't read the OP carefully the first time, apparently. They will probably just do it electronically.

I think the only transfer that is 'instant' is from funds that are already in your account, or if you use a CC to back the funds transfer from a bank account. However, if you use "instant transfer" with your bank account and CC, you'll be charged the fees.

im (now) using bank of america.
i just felt like because of the amount it would be a bigger deal. im actually sort of hoping its a bigger deal, simply because if i walk in and, with no hassle, get that sort of money out of my account, im going to be a little pissed at the bank.

If you have BoA you dont need to go to the bank, log in online, click transfer funds, click Transfer to Other Bank of America Customers.... its instant.
