easiest way to take sound off avi?

Virtualdub of course...

1. Open your *.avi file in virtualdub.
2. Under Audio make sure compression is set to none (or PCM), and set to full processing mode.
3. Under Video make sure it is set to direct stream copy.
3. Go to File -> Save Wav... , name your wav, wait a few secs, and that's it!

there's a way to do it with windows sound recorder.. i forget exactly how.. but it has somethign to do with recording any sound that plays.. so it'll record your avi sound along with any messenger sounds etc... sorry that i dont' remember how to do it though
