Not sure, I was never able to shrink them. 2.7mbps though fills up a disk pretty quick 🙂

lol, I used to record in .ts. Then both Comcast and Charter brought out their HDDVR's. I shortly switched 🙂 It sure was neat recording HDTV over Firewire though.

You can use HDTVtoMPEG2.

You can use the utility to cut .ts streams and convert to MPEG-2.
