Easiest way to schedule a PC to turn on a certain time?

You could also set the MB to power on when AC power is turned on, and put the PC on one of those outlet timers (generally used for lights you want on at certain times or while you are on vacation, etc.)

Seems like it might just be easier to leave it on 24/7. With the monitor off, computers don't use much power just sitting there.

Pretty much every computer I've had has an option that allows you to set the computer up to automatically start at a certain time.

It's called an RTC alarm. Look for it under the Power or Boot section of your BIOS
