Easiest way to move a queue

Due to the sale of some of my computer components, I need to move my setiq from one machine to another. What is the easiest way to do this without losing any information? Is it even possible?

If you can network the two PC's together, simply shutdown the Queue...copy the folder to the other PC...and restart. Make sure to place the shortcut in the "Startup" folder. If not networked, you could shut down the Queue and burn the folder to CD....then copy it to the other PC....but, you would have to select all the files and turn off the "read only" attribute as it would be set to all the files on the CD. I've done the network style move serveral times...no trouble!

One other note...make sure the PC, if on a network, getting the Queue has the same IP or has the Queue port forwarded to it for continued correct operation....

Good Luck....🙂

I will due the transfer tonight when I get off of work. I have just sold two of my three rigs, so I need to move the queue to my main system. Hopefully all goes smoothly and I hate being broke.

Thanks Engineer.

Instead of placing a link in the start folder, run setiqueue.exe /i

That will install it as a sevice.
Then run net start setiqueue

If on a NT/2K/XP machine, goto services under Administrative Tools, and set setiqueue service to automatic.
