easiest way to convert vhs to dvd?

my mom wants to convert some of my childhood stuff. I've done it in the past with a vhs hooked up to tuner card, then burned to dvd. Was a pain but that was many years ago. Any better ideas?

I'm thinking of buying a Pinnacle Dazzle for doing this. You plug this between your VHS and your computer. Comes with its own software.

I've used an older, Sony version of what you posted

works pretty well, you should have no problem with home videos except if the quality sucks balls

order a vhs to dvd converter from hsn or qvc, do the conversions and return it before 1/31/11
