2 week temp. job as an admin for a small firm.

I got paid $15 an hour doing ABSOLUTELY nothing. I literally sat on my ass surfing the net, 8 hours a day. I was supposed to answer phone calls but I had about 3 calls an hour.

After lunch things would get just downright halting. By the end of my two weeks, I wanted to kill myself out of sheer boredom. I was literally sick of all aspects internet.

I wanted to actually work...

You should have taken the opportunity to read books (possibly textbooks so you could learn something).

Out of curiousity, what type of company was it?

EDIT: my easiest job was spending four summers working at a golf course pro shop. Candy, pop, girls and air conditioning. :)

A small outsourcing company in a suburbs. Probably 10-12 employees. I was covering for their maternity leave. They didn't care.

I literally did. not. do. anything.

I would come in, say hello. Pretend to look busy for first 30 mins... I eat free bagels and coffee all day and I do NOTHING.

my last job....company was going to close (I had been there for 3+ years) and in the last few weeks, I had about 15 minutes of actual work everyday. I could've gone to work from 7-3 everyday and gotten paid for it, but I usually slept in till about 10 and worked till like 2 (because of interviews in the afternoon). I made up the "lost" time in OT on my nightshifts, where I did even less work.

It's the easiest job I ever had...although I did mis-read the title as "earliest"...

But I wanted no more of that after two weeks. I was DYING of boredom. It was a dead-end job. No feeling of accomplishment, no resume building, no productivity. $15 an hour was nice but I was dead tired and groggy by the end of the day due to staring at the screen all day and mentally doing absolutely noting...

i work in a tech lab on campus doing little things like making sure people dont steal stuff and answering the occasional question. compared to food service and working as a painter, this i indeed the 'easiest' job i've had.

Got paid 2k per week as a subcontractor locating underground rail road wires. I would hook up my box and take my tone wand and paint the ground. Did that from Jacksonvill to Miami FL. If I wasnt painting the ground I got paid to go hit the arcade and ride go carts. After work it was all about eating steak and drinking and doing thqat 6 days a week.
Was a great job till I got laid off :(

But the best part was just walking and painting the ground to get paid crazy money. My home was a 35ft 5th wheel trailer. Cost me 300 per moth for lot rent and did alot of drinking, steak eating, and jet skiing. Was like being paid to vaca.

Well yeas :p A 1988 Ford F-250 with a 460 big block. Bought it from a trailer sales place that just got themselves a new truck and being it was FL it was in near mint condition. If I can find some pics I will post my home at the time if anyone would care to see.

Three Summers ago, I joined a Union as a Communication Installer. Spent the whole summer ripping apart Cat5 Cables and ran new cables in a HUGE warehouse (www.giftcerticates.com). The best about being in a Union is that you get 3x 15mins Breaks which turns into like 30mins+ each and another 30mins+ for Lunch.

Easiest job - Boeing 727 First Officer.

The Flight engineer has to do the preflight, weight and balance, fueling etc. The captiain is responsible for planning, weather, etc. The first officer just flies when it his leg or works the radio when it not. Throw in a little auto-pilot and its the easiest job you can imagine.

No, my current job is the IT liaison for a bunch of pharmaceutical labs. It's easier physically, but killer on the stress and mental side.

The kennel job was only like 30min in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon after school.
