Easier to: Snowboard or SKi

I been trying to snowboard for the last couple of seasons and I'm really not getting anywhere with it...or am I enjoying myself.

Would it be easier to learn to Ski???

no contest.....i ski and board....and skiing is SOOOO much easier to learn/do
snowboarding is also harder on the legs

edit: if you like snowboarding stick with it and you'll get better....i sucked for like 3 seasons or 4 and now i've gotten alot better....

skiing is easier. i picked up boarding in couple of weeks - it isn't all too much harder then skiing!

i went with snowboarding. I've skiied once in my life, but from talking with people, it takes a lot longer to get "good" at it. and as for "harder on your legs" snowboarding doesn't mangle the joints in your legs like skiing does when you fall. your ass & knees take a lot of the impact, but they aren't all twisted at funky angles. I admit after 6-8 hours of snowboarding my quads are burning pretty good, and my knees are bruised up a little if there isn't any powder, but again, i'll take that any day over joint damage. I imagine this improves dramatically as you get better.

skiing skill = sqrt(t)
snowboarding skill = t^2

😉 its easy to ski down a hill. but to learn parallel and carve takes a long time. a beginner snowboarder falls a lot, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be carving in no time. unless you suck. which seems to be the case, haha. have you been taking lessons?

most snowboarding injuries are minor ass/knee bruising, and broken wrists from trying to stop your fall with your hands. skiiers get busted up knees and torn muscles.

when i said harder on your legs.... i meant that you don't suck nuts and don't fall alot on either of them
i meant getting tired easier from snowboarding.....

skiing ive never hurt anything really bad and never given myself a concusion.....
i have gotten a concusion from snowboarding(back when i sucked) and about 3 days ago i bruised both my knees really badly from hitting a sheet of ice on a snowboard......(snowboards don't deal with ice as easily as skis do IMO)

uhhhhhh alot of snowboarding injuries ive seen (going to college in colorado) have been broken wrists/collar bones
and concusions
so i wouldn't call them all minor

Well its not a matter of getting better at..

Just that sucks to go to ski resorts with my friends and they have a great time and I am way behing struggling...

I'll give skiing a chance...but I probably suck will suck at it!!!

I should just stick to snow mobiles.
