i made a contest w/my gf as a way to motivate us since its easier to lose gain when u are doing it w/someone else. i will be trying to gain weight (im 5'9 163) and she is gonna try to lose (5'3 125)

tips or advice? i plan to do this while working out regularly and basically eating everything in sight. whoever ends up w/bigger difference at the end of a month wins...

5'3, 125 , is that heavy?

sounds about right ,

you think it's harder to gain weight? Over the course of an hour, drink a gallon of water. Gained: 8 pounds.

I have tried dieting and working out to lose weight.
that is hard.

But if I sit around and do nothing gaining weight is easy.

So I would say from my experence that gaining weight is much easier.

It's very difficult to gain weight. Trust me, I eat regularly and don't do anything except sit on my ass in front of the computer all day. I have been trying to gain weight like a mofo but I just can't. I still weigh 110 pounds at 5'5". HELP!

Got a friend who is 5'6" and he is 135 and he is very thin.

Your girl must be extremely skinny now....why would she wanna get even skinnier? :/

Anywho, I'd say easier to lose because I've been trying to gain weight for the past couple of years by eating everything I could and have yet to sustain the weight gain for more than 2 weeks. Would always go back to normal. Then again others will say it's easier to lose because they eventually regain the weight also.

They are both hard just because you're doing something different that you aren't use to. 🙂

Me too, I could eat McDonald's all day and sit on my computer and not gain anything.

well frankly it depends on your metabolism

Pure wisdom right there. I can lose weight easily, gain weight with MUCH effort (weight training + eating more than I even want to). Others have trouble losing weight, and easily gain it even when they don't want it.
