EA's NHL 2005

Kenazo

I was talking w/ a friend and we were wondering what's going to happen to this franchise this year. I think it would be hilarious if they had a lock out in the game. 🙂

wow, that would be the greatest and easiest game to create ever.
$50 and you get
"We are sorry, there is no NHL season this year due to a lockout, thus there is no NHL 2k5 this year either"

MIKE

They have a lockout in NHL 2K5.

Start a franchise and start playing. At one point, the season may crash and refuse to start another game. All sega forgot to do was put in a lockout notice.

Whats so great about 2005 anyway?

Nothing, this years version is pretty bad as all the features they removed and the new menu design. Absolutely terrible.

I'll stick with 2004 then.
Actually I'll have to disagree. In its native form with no tweaking, the PC version is pretty bad but once you turn speed down and aggression down, it's better, and someone on cyber nhl has made a custom roster file that brings everyones speed and hitting down, which does wonders.

The Xbox version is apparently VERY different from the PC version, gameplay wise. I have no idea why EA did this, other than they're a bunch of idiots. According to one person who has the game on both platforms, the gameplay is slower on Xbox and there's more "open ice", as EA claims, instead of PC where it's more like "kill the puck carrier". It's easier to set up plays.
