EA's New Project

What EA has done or should I say not done with BF2 and Special Forces, especially Special Forces- EA can Project Gray my Butt:|

When EA is combined with "next generation RPG" and "expansive open world", I don't have too high of hopes for it. An RPG of the magnitude they are making it out to be cannot be rushed in typical EA style and produced in a short 18 months. EA is too profit-conscience to keep a game under wraps until it's actually ready and almost bug-free.

Is that how quiclky they're estimating it would take? I didn't actually read the site.

They have a HUGE team though, and if they use an existing engine, then i think it can be done.

Still, that's pushing it. Minimum of 2 years... or 3 would make it awesome.

The only EA project (at least, one where they're even minimally relevant) I'm interested in now is Spore.

C&C 3? Anyone? They learned their lesson from generals. They wont mess up C&C 3, i know it!

I bet they put that whole project together in two weeks after seeing how well Oblivion did.

Great. Here is the Elder Scrolls rip off from EA.

Heh, they probably saw the huge Oblivion thread here at Anandtech and decided it's worth getting into 😉

... spore ...
I forgot Maxis was bought out by EA long ago... that video of spore, it was long, but the game was so intriguing that I watched it in its entirety. I am looking forward to it.
