The specs for it:

It will be powering the following:

I5 3750K (overclocked using asus tool
4 internal SATA HDD's (3 1TB) 1(750 GB)
SAPPHIRE 100352-3L Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
Logitech z2300 speakers (with own power supply)

It should spit out enough amps to run the new 7950 3GB card right?

Can't find my image for it so I'll jack one to show the "turbo mode" that overclocks the cpu (not representative of my specs)

More than enough. Have a 3570K @ 4.5GHz, bunch of HDDs and a 7970 (occasionally swapped in) running off an Antec Neo ECO 620W.

Hell, I've mined Bitcoins with the 7970 (albeit with only a puny E5200) on a Corasair CX430.

You'll be fine.

Thanks, was wondering because the last card I had that came with this thing failed on me after about 18 days so I still don't know if the card was faulty or something with the PSU. I'll go ahead & take another shot with a new gpu and hope it doesn't fail like the last card (a 7850 2GB). Notably, it seemed to fail after reboot, after a Just Cause 2 benchmark where it got over 118 fps.

If your EarthWatts is out of warranty, you might want to pop it open and inspect for bulging caps.
Had an EA-380W that persistently overheated (hot environment, no fault of the PSU itself), which lead to bulging caps and random BSODs / hangs.

Plenty of power, mines running a toaster of a CPU and a 1100/1600 1.175v 7950 with ease. The older 650 3x12v rail earthwatts were pretty solid units.

Mine used to run a Q6600 @ 3.6, and two GTX460 1GB OC WindForce cards, 24x7 for a month straight during the Dec. F@H race.

Good point. Thought it was a Delta for a second, but looks like the OP's is a Seasonic build.

Thanks for the replies. We have a tower over here with a faulty PSU so I plan to swap the bad one with the antec 650. Any recommendations on a good replacement? Hopefully around the $125 & under mark.

Don't need anything fancy. Assuming you're in the US, you could pickup a Corsair CX600 for cheap (~$50 with rebate IINM).

Ordered my Earthwatts 650 on 02/2009 for a Q9550 build
Currently its powering my 2700K + GTX780 box.

I'm very satisfied with it and the next PSU will have some tough shoes to fill for quietness and reliability.
However, my unit is older and was built by Delta. The newer ones are made by FSP. At least the platinum series

I have the exact same power supply (purple sticker and everything) powering my very similar PC just fine:

i5 4600k @ 4.2
HD7950 @ 1100/1400 (I think)

You should be ok.

Edit: just saw this was a necro...

* How old is it?
* Has it been running behind a good quality UPS?
